About this deal

All the confusion, fear, and bewilderment of the classic Moon card is gone for me with this serene card. I find this hard to interpret based on the name and image alone. It will be useful to look at how those words plus my own interpretation of this card could help me understand what the cards want me to know. I sometimes see the Knight of Pentacles as representing a determined, careful, direct approach. That’s all well and good, but this Knight can also be “stodgy” or single-minded in pursuit of an objective, with little ability or desire to look up and not only see what is going on around him, but attempt to understand it and to take it into account.

The Minor Arcana suits each have a small précis which describes astrological, elemental, and directional correspondences as well as the nature of the suit. Individual cards are given both an upright and reversed meaning but no further information about the card is provided. The Lovers Tarot Gothic Victorian Ornate Antique Frame -Holographic - Amethyst Crystal - Luna Moth - Ethereal Visions Tarot Card - Valentine Age of Aquarius Tarot | 88 Cards | Guidebook | Holographic Foil | Atlantis Lemuria Mintaka | for Beginners | Ocean Oceanic Water Seed Dreams Keep collections to yourself or inspire other shoppers! In my review of the book Journaling the Tarot: a little book of big questions by Andy Matzner, I wrote: In the guidebook Hughes states that he is influenced by Art Nouveau, Pre-Raphaelite art, and the symbolist movement which the Ethereal Visions tarot readily reflects. His style is predominantly Art Nouveau, featuring sinuous, stylised lines and serene facial expressions; the characters range from Alphonse Mucha’s somnambulistic women gazing out at the viewer from beneath heavy lids, to the idealised mediaeval romanticism of the Pre-Raphaelites. I can't let this go... why is his hand clutching the blade!?! I think of the classic Ace of Swords as getting ready to take on a challenge with the help of sword qualities or cutting through BS, but it's hard to envision that with this hand positioning. I am probably being too literal. This card was drawn primarily to provide a number, but I think it is worthwhile to look at the card meaning as well. Matt Hughes provides the following keywords for the Knight of Pentacles --

In creating Ethereal Visions Tarot, Matt Hughes has drawn inspiration from the Art Nouveau movement, adopting its distinctive style and meticulous approach to craftsmanship. The Hierophant is often interpreted through the lens of organized religion, and I have come to understand the traditional card as one about spirituality, education, conforming, or become part of a group. This card feels like it leans heavily into the spirituality—like some window opening into a mysterious universe. But I would like to go deeper! The Ethereal Visions Tarot has 78 Rider-Waite-based cards, created in the Art Nouveau style of Mucha, Klimt and Moser. Now in print as an 80-card, gilded edition, the Ethereal Visions Illuminated Tarot. For me, this card really loses the sense of domesticity and convention that the original card has because it's just one guy in the doorway.
